Apologies for the lack of updates! Classes and work (the paycheck-generating kind) have overtaken a lot of my time.
However I have a few small pieces in a show this Wednesday:

Event is to be held at Bimma Loft 2.0 located at 681 Fourth St. (Between Bluxome St. and Townsend St.).

Press Release for "Conflagration":
Opening reception and designer launch party at Studio 3579
Sarah Spitler: Conflagration
Saturday, July 25, 6-9pm

Come celebrate at Studio 3579! Our art gallery series continues, with a new show by local artist Sarah Spitler.
You'll also get first pick of newest gear from the designers you know and love - women's fashions from Saffron Rare Threads, designer jewelry by Joy O, menswear and accessories from Indie Industries and our brand new lines - our own line of pure, delicious-scented 100% soy candles and home scents, hot new vegan handbags, and organic cotton women's graphic tees made in CA - and available nowhere else in San Francisco! Sip our now-famous white wine sangria and killer margaritas with the tastiest snacks like dumplings and tapenade crostini at our party, Saturday June 6, 6-9pm. We can't wait to see you.
Sarah Spitler was born and raised in Ohio, where she studied at the Columbus College of Art + Design before moving to San Francisco and finishing her BFA in painting at the California College of the Arts in 2006. She currently lives and works in San Francisco.
While studying at CCA, she developed in interest in geography and the visual forms present in macro- and micro-scale in nature and the cosmos, with chaos manifesting itself alongside form in her work. Chaos is powerful in that it is beyond human control; specifically, it interests her in depiction as catastrophe - as the uncontrollable and random force of natural cataclysms. In her work, she combines these forms with abstract (and often chance) mark-making, with an appreciation for sweet and synthetic color, and translucency.
Sarah has participated in several group exhibitions, art auctions/fund-raisers, and since graduating has had three solo shows in California and Oregon.
